Jewelry's largest recruiting event will return to New York City on Monday, July 27 at the Javits Center. Nearly 50 companies will be looking for hundreds of talented candidates to fill positions ranging from design and retail to management and manufacturing. Hundreds of Rare Gemstones to be Auctioned

A private collection of some 680 rare gemstones, believed to be one of the largest in Europe, will go under the hammer later this year. According to UK-based auction and valuation business John Pye Auctions, the David Jerome Collection comprises "some of the world's rarest and purest rubies, emeralds, tanzanites, sapphires and other prized gems", and is estimated to have a combined retail value of more than £8 million (AU$16.7 m). Oft Convicted Jewel Thief Allegedly Strikes Again

Doris Payne, an oft-convicted international jewelry thief whose spans career decades and multiple countries, is allegedly at it again. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department believes that on July 11, Payne stole a diamond and platinum ring valued at $33,000 from the David Yurman store in the Southpark mall in Charlotte. MORE
