Introducing our 2012 AGTA Spectrum Awards Judges
The American Gem Trade Association is pleased to announce its panel of judges for the 2012 AGTA Spectrum Awards™.  Each year AGTA assembles an expert panel to judge the Spectrum Awards jewelry design and gemstone competition.  The collection will be previewed at our Editor's Event on Monday, October 24th and awards will be presented at the AGTA Gem Fair™ Tucson on Saturday, February 4, 2012. Amethyst stolen from Church of Scotland moderator returned in post
A twinge of guilt may just have resulted in the return of the amethyst stone that formed part of the moderator of the Church of Scotland's ceremonial ring, stolen in a burglary last Christmas Eve. The stone was returned anonymously in an un-postmarked, handwritten envelope sent to the church's head office in Edinburgh, nine months after the break-in at the Helensborough home of the Right Reverend John Christie.
